News: It can be a misdemeanor not to cut your grass.

There is a proposed tree cutting ordinance.  One interesting item is that if you fail to comply it could result in your being charged with a minor misdemeanor.

I'll respond without asking our zoning enforcement division.  Mulching lawnmowers are not illegal.

I would guess if a person got a notice about a violation of the 8 inches for weeds and grass and after it was cut the yard clippings were still obvious then a violation would be given.  

I would not expect our zoning officer to stand around waiting to see if the clipping were actually taken away.
