The agenda's for next weeks committee meetings have been published. The read aheads for the Public Safety and Public Works Committees can be found on the City WebSite here. The most interesting item so far is the Energy Aggregation item.
Aggregation is when a group of customers join together to form a single, larger customer that buys energy for its members. Read the pamphlet, found as part of the Public Works agenda read ahead. You will see there are two types of Governmental Aggregation. A vote by the residents is required if the aggregate is set up so that enrollment is automatic. Even if the voters decide enrollment is automatic, someone that doesn't want to participate can opt out. Remember Public Safety is on Monday's. Public Works and the Administration Committee meetings are on Tuesdays.
