City Council has been very active in trying to keep this establishment from being able to sell alcohol. This seems to be an instance where our city leaders and the community have been thwarted and damaged by outside government agencies with no vested interest in our well being.

Heat night club
How much money in city and state taxes does this night club pay?
Did Heat pay for all of thier permits with thier own money or did monies come from a public source?
I read about the noise complaints from the neighbors. Nobody lives close enough to hear anything.
It seems to me the only group with actual issues with Heat is the police. Because now they have to do some work at the midnight hour instead of sitting around somewhere drinking coffee waiting for the shift to end. Why don't the police simply sit in the parking lot and follow the customers onto a main street and start issuing DUI's. People will quit going to these clubs plus the city gets even more money on top of the tax monies collected. once word gets out the police will get you in Huber, things will improve.
My main problem is that this is a legitimate business and everyone wants to shut it down. They have paid all the fees and obtained all permits legally. I think it is in the best location possible that disturbs the least amount of people or other businesses. Nobody in any house gets awakened by the noise. If so, shut down the Wayne football games because we can definitely hear the PA system and crowd cheering.
If you don't like this club, do not go there. But why are you infringing on someone's business when it has zero effect on you?
I feel bad that people died but I think the club will hire better security or they will get sued by the families of the victims. That is what will close this club down.
Once a child dies at the water park, will we be screaming to close it down?
Tom informed me that a child did drown last summer at the water park. Another sad event in Huber but we should not close it down.
