Meeting Packet full of information  - Water Softening, Rose Music Center, Carriage Trails

The agenda for the Work Session,  this Tuesday at 6:00 pm at City Hall, has good read ahead materials for every agenda item.  I'm very happy council and staff have come together to provide this service for you.  The objective is for the City's website to become the one stop place for residents to reference when they need complete information about the issues of the city.  With the implementation of the OpenGov   portal last year, the videos of committee meetings and now better read ahead materials in Agenda Quick we our making good progress.

The full agenda with read ahead materials for this weeks Work Session can be found here.

Items of interest:

Arts and Beautification Commission Vendor Discussion -  A resident brought forth a concern that prompted council to ask staff to look into the costs associated with hiring bands for city events.  Staff prepared a report and it is included in the agenda read ahead.  There are also quotes for sound equipment alternatives than the one used by the city.

City Water Softening Report - City wide water softening is an issue that appears to have much support through out the city.  The challenge is to capture how much support without using a lot of monetary resources.  City Staff investigated the cost of updating the 2010 report on the subject and council will discuss if spending the $25,000 updating the report is the right course of action now.

Rose Music Center Question/Information Request Review  -  Questions and perspective guidance from Council and Citizens have been received.  Council will discuss which ones we would like staff to address.

Carriage Trails -  The developer has asked for a 17th Amendment to the Developer Agreement.

There are many other items on the agenda that might perk your interest.  Look it over.
