News: Resignation effective 31 Dec 2015 resume office on 1 Jan 2016

Not sure how WHIO reported it but I did ask Alan Scheafer tonight, "what would happen if I announced that I intended to resign effective Dec 31, 2015?  Would the Board of Elections schedule a mayoral election for next year with the primary in May 2015 and the general election November 2015.  If so would I be eligible to run?  

If this is how it would work then I would be willing to announce a Dec 2015 resignation and then run in the May 2015 primary and November 2015…

Ok, now you've got too far, stick to the issues, you're on a roll don't distract from that, and by all means do get a big head! That's what happened to Fisher, thinking he'd be in office "for life"!

Tom you were elected by the people because people were looking for a change. It all starts with you so don't give in to the witch hunt by council. I use to think very highly of our city council until this past year.

I think if you announced a resignation that would be a big mistake.

I have seen the lengths council will go to in order to get someone out that don't agree with them on there foolish spending.

Striping you of your voting rights was a very bad move on their part. It showed the people just what kind of people we really have on council. They don't care what the people want they do what they want.
