For those that don't know it when I retired from the Air Force in 2009 I conceived an 8 year plan to get elected to congress.  I've been on the ballot in the 2010 Republican and the 2012 Democratic Primaries.  I learned a lot about the political scene, media, campaigning and voters. 
 
This year as well as in 2016 it is my desire to get on the ballot as a non-affiliated (independent) candidate.  This year I'm trying to find people that could be part of a "Congressional staff" if I end up getting elected in 2016 or 2018.  I also would like to find individuals that think it would be interesting to learn and be part of a campaign. I'm also trying to figure out the most time and cost efficient way to get the 2498 valid signatures needed to get on the ballot as an independent.  Obviously, this is a very different task than getting the 50 needed to get into one of the primaries. 


 
In short it will be at least two more congressional elections before I consider taking the stickers off my car.  Even then I'll probably keep them on because they are a great safety device.

If you are getting 1 to 18 signatures thanks.  If you are trying to get hundreds for me please call me.  Winning a Congressional seat in 2016 or 2018 is a strong goal of mine.  However, running for congress this year is about 5th on my priority list; I do have five kids, a wife, a real job and I am still learning the Mayor position.  I will be especially grateful to those that send me 1 to 18 signatures.  I'd feel bad if someone ended up spending the time to get 200 signatures without first letting me know they were doing it.
